About the Chinese Crested
The Chinese Crested is a small, elegant companion dog famed for its two coat types: the Hairless, with smooth skin and tufts of hair on the head, tail, and feet, and the fully coated Powderpuff. Lively, affectionate, and playful, it is a devoted lapdog that bonds intensely with its people. The Hairless variety needs skin care and sun and cold protection, while the Powderpuff requires regular brushing. Alert and sensitive, the Crested is a charming, entertaining companion well suited to apartment life. It thrives on human closeness and can be prone to separation anxiety, doing best with owners who provide plenty of attention and gentle handling.
Every dog is an individual — genetics, socialization, health, training, and environment matter more than breed averages.
